Team Beach Babes and the 20 Miler
Ok, so I know I've been blogging like crazy lately, but if the time is there why not. Of course, those of you who think I'm a work slacker (and you know who you are...my team :) Once the campaign starts running (and my classes begin) again next month I won't see a computer much at all so I'm getting it out of my system now. I also looked at my blog and realized I needed to put some more team stuff up so here it is. For those of you checking out my blog that don't know, this is my breast cancer 3-day team the Beach Babes (minus 2). This is a picture of us from two Saturdays ago, on our 20 mile training walk. We look so happy, because we were only 8 miles into it. My team and I have been training since February and the walk takes place here in San Diego November 10-12. We've been training, doing fundraisers, and having an incredible time in our efforts to raise money for the fight against breast cancer. Please visit our team blog which you can find on the left hand side of this blog under "TT Approved Site" And for anyone wishing to contribute to such a worthwhile cause can visit our 3-day team page at www.teambeachbabes.2ya.com.
Trouble of the worst kind!
Don't let her sweet face and innocent look fool you. My oh so cute kitten Hailey, is nothing but trouble. She appears harmless at first, especially when she looks up at you with those big baby blues, but she's a demon in disguise. We went to battle again last night and once again she has kept me up all night long. She has gotten into about everything and anything, hides things on me (i.e., socks, fish food, and more) terrorizes my fish Sushi whenever she gets the chance and is constantly on the go and in places she knows she's not allowed. I think my little precious could use some humbling. Any ideas???

Momma Hick
This is one of my bestest friends (sister, mother, mentor and favorite HICK!!!) Jillie Billie Boo Hoo. I wanted her to feel special and show her how much she means to me, by posting this lovely pic of her. Enjoy, I have her number if anyone wants it.....hahaha
The Bike Is Gone......
So it has finally been sold. I've owned this beautiful, Harley Davidson Sportster 1200cc Anniversary Edition Bike since 2002. Haven't ridden it. Pretty sad. Well, finally someone has bought it after being on the market for over a year and I'm happy to say that person is a friend. My friend Donna bought my baby from me this past weekend. It pleases me to know that it is going to a good person who will take care of it and who will enjoy it. Arrivederci Sportster!!!!!!..you will be missed. Ironically, I'm going to the motorcycle course with Donna to get my license...yes it is very odd timing in case you were wondering.
Thanks Goobie!!!! (aka Jodes)
Thanks to my wonderful friend and teammate Goobie my blog has a new and lighter look. Everbody say, THANKS GOOBIE!!!!

WE ARE.....PENN STATE!!
Well all, for those of you who don't know, I am a Penn State Alum. Go Big Blue!!! Needless to say it was a very fun time for me during my college years and Penn State will always hold a special place in my heart. So much so, this fall I start graduate courses. As a non-degree at first, because unfortunately the MA program I was trying to get into, Masters of Arts in Homeland Security was very competitive. The board decided to give me a chance and allowed me into their certificate program as a non-degree student. They are going to allow me to take 3 courses (and all 9 credits can be transferred over to the 30 credit grad program), and based on my grades, allow me into the actual grad program in the fall. I haven't been in school since 2001 so wish me luck. I'll be taking HLS 410, which is Disaster Preparedness in Terrorist Emergencies, and GEOSC 411y, which is Natural Disasters. Next semester will be HLS 510 the follow up to terrorist emergencies. I'm pretty excited about moving on with my education and am thankful for the opportunity into such a competitive program. I'll keep you posted once the school year begins.

Auditions, Auditions, Auditions
Well, now that the dance stuff is over with I'm finally moving onto my first love. Singing. I've been hitting the singing auditions pretty hard. I've loved singing ever since I was a little girl in my choir at church, and in my chorus at elementary school. I did talent shows in junior high, and high school and sang in a college level choir at Penn State. I'm no stranger to Kareoke Bars either :) Guess its just been my dream for as long as I can remember to be a vocalist and now that I've got the time to pursue something I'm going to do it. Over the past 5-6 moths I've auditioned with a few bands (i.e, Cheap Date, garage band with no name, Velvet Crush etc.). Most recently I auditioned with these phenomonal musicians in Poway. I think I'm a pretty good singer; actually, I think I'm a damn good singer, but these guys were out of my leaugue and unfortunately someone else came in that nailed it. It's cool though, because I had such a good time and they were so good that it just motivated me to be better. I've got two more auditions coming up in the next few weeks. One is with an established band named Arrowhead (mostly classic to modern rock), and the other is with a country/rock band that is forming. I'm anxious to see where things go and I plan on widening my musical horizon by starting up guitar lessons again, as well as, voice lessons. Anyway, I'll keep you posted and thanks for visiting.
Check out Arrowhead's website at www.arrowheadsd.com
Girls Night
Well Saturday was girl's night out, and boy what a night it was. I was lucky I was even mobile on Sunday (well partially). We had a great time, drank plenty, and tore up the dance floor. All and all I would say it was one of the most fun nights I've had in a very long time. Thanks to my sistas from another mista. Below are a couple pics (there were alot, but I decided just to post a few since I'm fairly confidant the rest will be posted on the Team Beach Babes blog site. And I think these two show all my beach babe gals. Love ya.
